Adding Text, Images & Pages
Titles and Text
From the basic elements box on the left of your Weebly Build page, click and drag titles and text onto your page. You can change the font formatting just like you can with word programs. You can even copy from another source and paste into the text box. Need more help? Watch the 2 minute Adding Text video. TIP- If you want a stylized look to your text, create it as an image in a graphics program and upload it using the "Image" block. This is also helpful in creating easily recognized links to sites such as Scholastic or National Geographic. |

Adding Images
Images, slideshows and even a gallery can be added to your page. Save pictures in JPEG to minimize the size of your files and increase the upload speed of your page-- no one likes waiting more than a few seconds for a page to upload. If you're able to edit photos in a program such as Photo Shop, aim for a file size of 70 kb or less. For line images-- logos with just a few basic colors-- save in GIF; not the quality of JPEG but a smaller file. Tutorial Video- 4-1/2 minutes. Use gallery to display multiple images on one page, in 2 to 6 columns, with or with out captions. Lightbox may be used to increase photo size when clicked. Use slideshow to display multiple photos in full size. Adjust the timing, how photos are advanced, and if or where thumbnails are placed. Captions can be added to all images-- a single image, gallery or slideshow. |

Adding Pages
Add multiple page, move them around on your site, it's all done through the "pages" tab. Video- 4 minutes. Tip- not all pages have to show up on the navigation bar. Click "hide from navigation,' then link that page to a button or a image. It's another way to separate content into multiple pages without cluttering the navigation bar. |
